Starting January 15, 2025, each Little Bee Hive membership will allow login on a maximum of three devices, with active use limited to one device at a time.

This change is being implemented to align with HIPAA and FERPA compliance requirements, which help protect the sensitive information of our users.

What Does This Change Mean?

  • Three Device Limit: You can log in on up to three devices with your Little Bee Hive account. This provides flexibility to use the Little Bee Hive applications in various settings, such as a therapy room, classroom, or at home.

  • Single Device Use: While you can stay logged in on three devices, only one device can be actively used at any given time. For instance, if you have a Little Bee Hive application open on an iPad, you’ll need to close it on that device before you can access it on another authorized device.

  • Account Privacy: Do not share your login. Keep your login details private to maintain security, keep your data safe, and prevent disruptions, as sharing your information may lead to unintended account lockouts.

Why is a Limit Important?

We aim to ensure each Little Bee Hive membership account is secure and used in a way that aligns with the data protection standards. Here’s how the three-device limit and single-user policies helps meet these goals:

  1. Enhanced Security: By limiting the number of logged in devices per account, we reduce the risk of unauthorized access and data breaches, ensuring your data remains safe.

  2. Regulatory Compliance: HIPAA and FERPA regulations require stringent protections around user information. This device limit allows us to uphold these standards, giving peace of mind to therapists, educators, and caregivers who use our applications.

  3. Consistent User Experience: Allowing only one active device per account at a time creates a secure, controlled environment for each user by reducing the risk of unauthorized access and accidental data sharing. This single-device use policy also prevents performance issues, data synchronization errors, and an inconsistent user experience, ensuring each session remains stable and uninterrupted.
